Fox News Star’s Sweet Message to ‘Hero’ Kat Timpf After Cancer Diagnosis and New Baby as Pals Gush ‘No One Is Tougher’
Fox News personality Kat Timpf has been showered with love and support from her colleagues and friends after bravely sharing news of her cancer diagnosis—just hours before giving birth to her first child.
Timpf, 36, welcomed a healthy baby boy with her husband, Cameron Friscia, on Monday. However, the joyous occasion was preceded by heartbreaking news: she was diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer just 15 hours before going into labor.
Despite the shocking diagnosis, the new mom has remained resilient, finding humor and gratitude amid adversity.
A Bittersweet Announcement
Timpf took to Instagram to share the emotional rollercoaster of events, writing, “Don’t freak out. It’s just, like, a little bit of cancer.” She candidly expressed the surreal experience of being told she would likely need a double mastectomy right before labor began.
But instead of dwelling on fear, she chose to focus on gratitude. “All I could think about was how grateful I was for the healthy baby boy that might have saved my life,” she wrote.
“Thank you all for your support, laughter, and love as I embrace this wildly unexpected chapter. Here’s to resilience, to miracles in the midst of chaos, and to finding humor and hope even on the toughest days.”
Her courage and optimism have resonated deeply with fans and colleagues alike, prompting an outpouring of encouragement and admiration.
Messages of Support from Fox News Family
Fox News co-host Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, a frequent panelist on Outnumbered and The Five, was among the first to publicly praise Timpf’s strength and resilience.
“And you were heroic in labor given the day you’d just had! I love you,” Kennedy wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Timpf, clearly touched, responded, “I love you forever.”
Conservative commentator and former The View co-host Meghan McCain also reached out with heartfelt words.
“You’re one of the strongest women I’ve ever known, and we have been through many dark times together.
There is truly no one tougher. We love you and your family so much.”
“Love you so much,” Timpf replied.
Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum chimed in with her well-wishes, writing, “Sending lots of love and strength to you and your beautiful new family.
As you so perfectly put it—miracles in the midst of chaos.”
A Strong Support System
Timpf’s journey has been one of resilience and determination. She has made a name for herself as an author, columnist, and co-host of Fox News’ late-night comedy show Gutfeld!
She got her start working in newsrooms after graduating from Hillsdale College, later joining Fox News in 2017 after a stint at Barstool Sports.
Her husband, Cameron Friscia, an Army veteran and investment banker, has also been by her side, supporting her through this difficult yet transformative time.
The couple, who met in 2020 and married the following year, has frequently shared glimpses of their loving relationship on social media.
In a 2022 Instagram post, Timpf joked about her husband’s background, saying, “I never thought a finance bro could be so loving, giving, patient, and understanding, but you prove me wrong every day.”
Now, as they embark on this new chapter as parents, they are facing challenges that few couples can imagine. But with the overwhelming support of friends, family, and the Fox News community, Timpf is proving that she is tougher than ever.
As messages of love and encouragement continue to pour in, one thing is clear: Kat Timpf is not just a survivor—she’s a fighter, a mother, and, as her colleagues put it, a true hero.
